As most of you are no doubt aware the home unions, including Scottish Golf, will be introducing the World Handicap System (WHS) on 2nd November 2020.
This changes the way that players handicaps are allocated, modified and administered to align it with golf unions around the world. The handicap and competitions committees have been working behind the scenes to prepare the golf club for the introduction of the new handicap system but it is important that members are aware of what the changes will mean to them and how they play and enjoy the game of golf.
Scottish Golf have some great resources on the World Handicapping System section on their website for clubs and players alike to make this change go as smoothly as possible.
In addition they have sent out some materials to all affiliated clubs, you have probably seen the poster at the clubhouse already. We have limited number of Players Guides available, and hope to get more, but in the meantime please download the following electronic versions of the materials:
